Hey friends, beauty lovers, and supporters,
Before anything: the best way to support my business is always to book with me or refer someone who would love my work. For anyone open to going a step further, I'm accepting donations throughout the next month.
My Birthday & A Decade in the Making
In 2026, I'm entering my 10th year as a Professional Makeup Artist. Leading into my birthday on January 6th, I'm asking for support to start this next chapter right—with clarity, confidence, and a kit that truly reflects where I'm headed. I don't ask for help often, but I'm choosing community and faith over carrying everything alone!
Since officially returning to my business in September 2024 (recovering from a life-altering accident), I've been rebuilding slowly. Right now, Lyft is my main income (help me retire as a Rideshare driver, PLEASE! 😅). And after faithfully serving me for years, my makeup bag has finally given out. Lugging full-size products and heavy equipment in a suitcase has become unsustainable. Between the constant driving, car repairs eating into what I'm trying to reinvest, and the physical toll of loading and unloading my kit and equipment between clients—my back is begging for mercy and my funds are stretched thin.
Before the accident, I had a beautifully organized kit that took years to build—one I only had to restock as needed. One that I was extremely proud of!!! When I started accepting clients again, most of my products had expired and had to be replaced. I haven't been able to condense my new kit, as some of you may know that the process of downsizing is not cheap, but essential for longevity in this line of work.
My goal is that by the end of January, I can have a lighter, streamlined, and travel-friendly kit so I can start back moving between clients with ease, and keep practicing and creating my content during slow seasons without the pressure of replacing products after every session. Below, I've shared a list of key items I'm prioritizing first so you can see exactly where your support goes.
Thank you for believing in me, for encouraging my growth, and for helping me build something that reflects the artist—and woman—I’m becoming.
Whether you book, donate, refer, share, or offer gently-used products—thank you for helping me step into year 10 lighter, stronger, and ready!
With heartfelt gratitude,
April of Make them More 🌹
